Was the Triangle procedure followed? Were there any deviations from the standard procedure?

Yes this year the village committee followed the Triangle procedure. The facilitator facilitated and encouraged the villagers to follow the guideline to have 7 members of the committee, at least three females and representative from Dalits, if applicable.

What did the villagers decide to spend the funds on?

The villagers decided to spend the granted Nrs. 85,000 by investing NRs.15,000/- on water spring conservation, NRs. 10,000/- in scholarships, NRs.50,000/- in income generation(25,000/- for mushroom farming & 25,000 for vegetable), NRs. 10,000/- for training for forest conservation

Has the committee received the funds yet?

Yes in December.                                                       

Activity plan

  1. Nrs.15,000.00 is spent in water spring conservation.
  2. Nrs.25,000.00 is distributed for mushroom farming for 5 person as microloans.
  3. Nrs.25,000.00 is distributed for vegetable farming for 5 person as microloans.

Who is responsible for the implementation?

The committee, facilitator and villagers.

How were the beneficiaries selected?

 The village committee organized the meeting and made the decisions to distribute the money. Generally the meeting classified the people in four groups D is the poorest (Class A, Class B, class C and Class D). They made some determinants to classify the people (land, yearly income, professions, literacy). They included the people in Class A who have more land , high income profession, and can save money from their yearly income, they include the people who can manage their life only for nine month from their yearly income in class B, they include the people who can proceed their life only for six month from their yearly income in class C and they include the people who can proceed their life only for three month from their yearly income in class D. They selected 10 people from class D and decided to give microloan for vegetable farming and mushroom farming.

Did the villagers have any comments/questions for the Triangle?

They would like to thank the Triangle organization for its support, and they wish continuous help of the organization. And if they got the big amount of money fond they would like to use the fund for constructions of school buildings, good roads etc.

1. Settlement level planning was completed.

2. All Income generation activities(Vegetables farming, training for improved seed), Skill Training, scholarships, health and sanitation,   environmental issues, drinking water, irrigation plan, cattle farming training, construction of road are under Implementation

All the activities were delayed because of transfer of the money from ASK account to village account, heavy and delayed rain, local festival, the second Constitutent Assembly election in November and the end of season party.

All implementation of all activities is on-going. It is expected to be finalized soon.

All planned activities were completed.

All the student who have got the scholarship are happy and they all passed the previous class. Farmers are increasing their income.

1. All student passed the examination but one student has quit school, out of the 16 granted.
2. All Toilets are completed so their surroundings are clean.
