Yes this year the village committee followed the Triangle procedure. The facilitator facilitated and encouraged the villagers to follow.

Income generation activities(goat farming, training for improved seed), Skill Training, scholarships, health and sanitation, environmental issues, drinking water, irrigation plan, cattle farming training, construction of road, path improvement.

What did the villagers decide to spend the funds on?

The villagers decided to spend the granted Nrs. 90,000 by investing Nrs.26,000 in microloans for goat farming, Nrs.20,000 on path improvement, Nrs.4,000/- on scholarships, Nrs.30,000/- on water spring conservation and Nrs.10,000/- on irrigation channel improvement.

How were the beneficiaries selected?

After finishing the settlement level planning, the village committee organized the meeting and made decisions on how to distribute the money. Generally the villager followed some indicators for the distribution of money which is indicated by LGCDP(Local Government Community Development Program):

The family with no or very little land.

Poor house condition.
Lack of food for whole year.
Labors for others for livelihood.
Unemployed family.
No guarantee for settlement, etc.

Did the villagers have any comments/questions for the Triangle?

They would like to thank the Triangle organization for its support, and they wish continuous help from the organization. And if they got the abig amount of money, they would like to use the fund for good roads good irrigation channels etc.

1. Settlement level planning was completed.

2. All Income generation activities, Goat farming, Commercial Vegetable farming, Drinking water conservation etc. are under Implementation

All the activities were delayed because of heavy and delayed rain, local festival. All implementation of all activities are on-going, they are expected to be finalized soon.

Reporting of Micro loan

Use of Microloan until 2014

Micro loan total collected from pay back of loans: Nrs 80000 (Nrs 54000 from previous year and 26,000.00 from 2014)

11 families got the microloan Nrs 80000 (2 persons*13000 and 9 persons*6000) and started the goat raising.

Major Achievements from Previous Year

The 9 families who got loan for goat raising in 2013, they got a lot of benefits and extra money (Minimum Nrs 3000.00 to maximum Nrs 9,000.00) and spent it for the dress and books for their children, food and some clothes for the families. Now they have felt the improvement for their improved livelihood. Therefore, they would like to remember who support the village.

Impact of Settlement level planning

Villagers have applied for 2 the projects from VDC and DDC, but almost the money went for earthquake support so this time this is not possible to get support for the project applications for the village.

Village situation after earthquake and aftershock

All the houses are totally collapsed. The school building also cracked and it is difficult to teach inside the room. Many livestock shed are cracked and damaged. People are requesting more shelter but the VDC distributed very few.
