Were there any disagreements – discussions about the priorities? What was the role of the Triangle facilitator? |
Before the training of settlement level planning, some villagers raised issues such as the money is very little. There were also som difficulties in distribution due to conflict of interest, as a result villagers’ expectations could not fulfilled. With the efforts of the facilitators from their own village, neighboring village facilitators and ASK coordinator Hari’s explanation about the resource availability and money allocation and the supporting system (from triangle) the villagers agreed and wanted to spend in the right way. ASK specially cooperated and fully focused on the settlement level planning process with the critical engagement of communities, provided information on Triangle and supported in planning, implementation, monitoring, and coordination and reporting. |

Did the villagers have any comments/questions for the Triangle? |
In previous years, due to lack of awareness it was difficult to manage the money in a right way but after villagers participation in settlement level planning they realized and fully agreed and now called the process as realistic and participatory. But they need more technical knowledge for the settlement level planning. Triangle Money is ok but the villagers have doubt whether the VDC and DDC will support properly or not for this year. |
