Was the Triangle procedure followed for forming the Village Committee?

Yes from this year the village committee will follow the Triangle procedure. The committee is to reform. It will elect new members in the next meeting.

What were the issues raised at the village meeting?

Plumbing training, Scholarship for poor students, Gardening Training, farming, Drinking water conservation, Ambulance service, Computer Education, Construction of bridge, Training for Hybrid Goat farming, Improvement of drinking water plan etc.

What did the villagers decide to spend the funds on?

The villagers decided to spend the granted Nrs. 85,000 by investing NRs. 25,000/- on scholarships, NRs.10,000/- on plumber training, NRs.40,000/- in income generation (microloan for goat farming) & Nrs.10,000/-for Drinking water improvement .

Has the committee received the funds yet?

Yes, and the committee already has NRs. 10,000/- from previous year fund and received 85.000 Nrs after the Election for Constituent Assembley 19. Nov. The government had put a ban on giving any money to villages before the elections for fear of bribing.

Activity plan

All activities will complete after receive the fund and before end of December. .

Who is responsible for the implementation?

The committee, facilitator and villagers.

How were the beneficiaries selected?

The general indicators for the prioritization selection and distribution of money were:

  • the family who does not have enough land,
  • lack of food,
  • labourers who work for others,
  • landless people,
  • unemployment,
  • The family is positive and willing to work to improve their living condition.

(It was created by VDC and LGCDP program )

Did the villagers have any comments/questions for the Triangle?

They would like to thank the Triangle organization for its support.
