Yes this year the village committee followed the Triangle procedure. The facilitator facilitated and encouraged the villagers to follow.

What did the villagers decide to spend the funds on?

The villagers decided to spend the granted Nrs. 85,000 by investing NRs.5,000/- on scholarships, NRs.15,000/- on irrigation, NRs.5,000/- on spring conservation, NRs.56,000/- in income generation (microloan -30,000/- for goat farming and 26,000/- vegetable farming). NRs.4,000/- money support for disable poor

Has the committee received the Triangle funds yet?

Yes after the National Constituent Assembly Election 15. November. The government banned giving money to villages before the Elections because of fear of bribing. That caused a delay in paying out the funds.

 Activity plan

All activities will be complete by the end of December.

Who is responsible for the implementation?

The committee, facilitator and villagers.

How were the beneficiaries selected?

The general indicators for the prioritization selection and distribution of money were:

  • the family who does not have enough land,
  • lack of food,
  • laborers who work for others,
  • landless people,
  • unemployment,
  • The family is positive and willing to work to improve their living condition.

Scholarships Support to disable people, Commercial vegetable farming, Goldanda Makaibari Small irrigation, Spring conservation and goat raising is in under implementation.

Due to the late organize of settlement level planning it was delayed but now we finished the settlement level planning so after sort period (people harvest) they will commit to complete all the activities by the end of December 2013.
