Yes the villagers followed the triangle procedure. There were not any deviations.

What did the villagers decide to spend the Triangle funds on?

The villagers decide to spend Nrs. 7,000 to the Social awareness training, Nrs 7,000 for Construction of Rest place between NP 2 and NP1, Nrs 41,000 for women goat rising for women, 12000.00 for furniture support to School and 15000.00 for Stool making training to women for Income from local materials Bamboos from Trianglen Money

Has the committee received the funds yet?

Yes (October) after completing the settlement planning and resource allocation plan

Activity plan: When are the activities going to be implemented?

All planned activities will be started after Nepalese big Dashain and Tihar festival and finalized in December 2013

Who is responsible for the implementation?

Same village committee plays the vital role to implement the all activities and after that VDC Secretary and triangle responsible person hari also support to implement and monitoring.

How were the beneficiaries selected?

After finish completing the settlement level planning the village committees’ member again organizes the meeting and make the criteria to distribution of money. Generally the villager made some indicators for the distribution of money

  • the family with no or very less land, poor house condition, Lack of food for whole year, Labors for livelihood, Unemployed family, No guarantee for settlement, etc.

Were there any disagreements – discussions about the priorities?

What was the role of the Triangle facilitator?

Before the training of settlement level planning Some of the villagers were collected the money is very little so it is difficult to fulfill the aspect of the villagers but the facilitator and Hari explained about the money and the supporting system, from Triangle and the villagers agreed and want to spend in right way.

Specially ASK cooperate and fully focus on the settlement level planning process with the engagement of communities, give the information of the Triangle and support to planning, implementation, monitoring, coordination and reporting.

Did the villagers have any comments/questions for the Triangle?

Lack of awareness it is difficult to manage the money to right way previous year but after villagers participated in settlement level planning they realized and fully agreed and called; it was realistic and participatory. But it has to provide more technical knowledge for the settlement level planning.

1. Settlement level planning is completed.

2. All planned activities from training Support; Social awareness training, Construction of Rest place between NP 2 and NP1, goat rising for women, furniture support to School and Stool making training to women for Income from local materials Bamboos are in under Implementation

  1. 1.all the activities were delayed because of heavy and delayed rain, Local festival and the training of Settlement LevelAll activities implementation is on-going. It is expected to be finalized in December.
  2. 2.VDC is cooperating in the SLP process by assigning the social mobilize in training, workshop and planning exercise at village level.
