Activity plan: When are the activities going to be implemented?

All planned activities will be started after Nepalese big festival Dashain and Tihar and finalized in December 2014

Who is responsible for the implementation?

The village committee plays the vital role to implement all activities and after that VDC Secretary, VDC social mobilizer and Triangle responsible person Hari also support to implement and monitoring.

How were the beneficiaries selected?

After finishing the settlement level planning the village committees’ members again organize the meeting and make the criteria to distribution of money. Generally the villager followed some indicators for the distribution of money which is indicated by LGCDP.

  • the family with no or very little land, poor house condition, lack of food for whole year, labors for livelihood, unemployed family, no guarantee for settlement, etc.

Were there any disagreements – discussions about the priorities?

What was the role of the Triangle facilitator?

Before the training of settlement level planning some of the villagers found that the donation is very little so it is difficult to fulfill all the wishes of the villagers, but the facilitator and Hari explained about the money and the supporting system, from Triangle, and the villagers agreed and want to spend in right way.   Specially ASK cooperate and facilitate and give full focus on the settlement level planning process with the engagement of communities, give the information of the Triangle and support to planning, implementation, monitoring, coordination and reporting.

Did the villagers have any comments/questions for the Triangle?

With lack of awareness it was difficult to manage the money the right way in previous years, but after the villagers participated in settlement level planning they realized and fully agreed and said it was realistic and participatory. ASK has to provide more technical knowledge for the settlement level planning.
